Welcome
A message from the Principal - Canon Vernon White
My first strong impression of STETS when I joined as Principal was of a very diverse body of staff and students, but always working together with an exciting sense of common purpose.
The theology you will study has the same ethos. It is diverse and dynamic, but it is all directed towards the same purpose of preparing students for committed Christian mission and ministry. Its academic rigour, and its integration with personal experience, are both used to equip the student for Christian discipleship and service.
The context of prayer and worship within which all this takes place is, similarly, rich in diversity but one in spirit. It is one of the striking features of student experience that such a varied and dispersed group becomes, each year, a cohesive body (but still varied, I'm glad to say).
Some years on I have found my first impressions to be fully confirmed, and I can wholeheartedly recommend the STETS Course. It is demanding, but profoundly worthwhile. This website will give you a useful outline of the course. Better still, why not come to visit us and see more at first hand?
