Our Vision

Overall, STETS seeks to further the renewal and mission of the church by equipping God's people with a deeper understanding of the Christian faith and greater competence for their varied roles in the ministry of the church.

STETS studentsSTETS is committed to excellence: to setting the highest standards in the delivery of theological education and training.

It is committed to accessibility: to creating opportunities for all of God's people to learn to think, speak and act with greater theological confidence.

STETS studentsIt is committed to commonality and particularity: to a common experience of training, yet one which recognises particular needs. It draws together people preparing for different ministries, from different denominations and church traditions, and provides them with a common core of theological education. At the same time it seeks to ensure that the formational needs specific to each person's own calling, denomination and traditions are properly met.

It is committed to collaboration: to working with providers of theological education and training in the structures of the churches and in the further and higher education sectors.
