Loving God, by your Word you created and saved the world. We pray for those whose business is words: novelists, playwrights, poets, technical authors, journalists. Grant to those whose task it is to write words of explanation or instruction, that their grasp of the subject matter may be secure and their words clear. Inspire those who depend upon your creative impulse; enable them to frame their plots, their characters and their sentences so that our hearts are touched and your truth revealed. So may all your people flourish in body, mind and spirit.
