Transport

Travelling is part of daily life for most of us. We rely on others to take us in safety from home to work, and for access to leisure. We rely on others to bring to our supermarkets and shops goods from many places.

We pray for all who are involved in transport, by road, bus and taxi services, rail, sea and air. We pray for them especially when their worst fears of mishap come at moments of greatest fatigue.

We remember those who supervise and direct traffic operations: Air Traffic Controllers, Traffic Police, Pilots and Coastguards. We pray for those engaged in the work of Safety and Regulatory Agencies and accident investigation. Thorough their work may we come to understand how things can go wrong and plan to minimise the risk of further accidents.
