Museums, Parks and Gardens

Loving Father, our faith was born out of the long remembering of a tragic and painful past. In our worship we remember your sacrifice for us. We pray for those who guard the memories of the past and maintain for our delight and refreshment places where we can drink the wisdom of the ages. We remember those who work in Museums, caring for the treasures of the past and enabling us to see them as they were first seen. Bless we pray those who design and tend gardens and parks and ancient monuments. To those called to preserve our heritage grant deep wisdom in their judgments, so that they do not simply stand in the way of anxiously awaited progress but help to find the best way of achieving both.
