Lord God, your Son Jesus was addressed as Rabbi, Teacher. Teach us the liberating and saving power of education. Bless we pray all who work in Schools, Colleges and Universities as teachers. May they have the power to inspire and uplift their students, introduce new ideas, encourage latent skills being tentatively developed. Unite those who teach and those who learn in one community of learning. We remember especially schools and training institutions for the handicapped; for those born with handicap and those handicapped in later life.

We remember before you those who define curricula and prepare course material, the Examination Boards, and those who set and mark appropriate examinations. Guide we pray the Schools Inspectorate and the Quality Assurance agencies for Colleges and Universities. May their judgements be wise and fair, praising achievement and encouraging improvement where necessary.
