Lord God, architect and builder of the universe, we pray for all involved in building construction: architects, surveyors, services management and the finishing trades. May the buildings they create inspire those who work in them and walk by them. Help those who strive for better use of modern technology to reduce energy consumption and enhance security.
We pray for people involved in civil engineering, who design and build roads, power stations, dams and pipelines. Help them to find the right balance between safety and cost, both for their own workers and for the wider public.
